I worked on designing a gym management ecosystem that connected business operations and customer experiences across web and mobile platforms. While the web platform supported operational workflows, the mobile application was designed to provide a seamless experience for gym members and is currently in the development phase.
This project began with conversations with several gym owners who shared the operational challenges they faced while managing memberships, trainer schedules, bookings, payments, and customer interactions. These discussions highlighted the need for a unified platform that could simplify both business operations and member experiences.
I worked on designing a multi-sided fitness management platform that streamlined gym operations and enhanced member experiences across web and mobile. The project focused on simplifying memberships, bookings, trainer management, and payment workflows while creating a scalable ecosystem for business owners, trainers, and customers.
Rather than conducting formal surveys or large-scale research, the project began with direct conversations with gym owners to understand their workflows, operational challenges, and day-to-day pain points.
To better understand user expectations and interaction patterns, I also reviewed existing fitness and gym management applications and used them as references while designing the experience.
This approach helped identify common workflows and establish a foundation for the product experience.
Managing a fitness business often involves juggling multiple operational processes, including memberships, trainer scheduling, bookings, payments, and customer management.
Through discussions with gym owners, several recurring challenges were identified:
Managing memberships and renewals efficiently
Coordinating trainer schedules and bookings
Handling payments and subscriptions
Maintaining operational visibility
Providing a convenient digital experience for members
The goal was to design a unified platform that could streamline business operations while creating creating an engaging and intuitive experience for gym members.
Design Process:
Workflow Mapping: I mapped the primary journeys for gym owners, and members to understand their goals, tasks, and interactions within the platform.
Information Architecture: I organized the platform structure to ensure users could easily access features relevant to their roles and responsibilities.
Wireframing: Mid-fidelity wireframes were created to validate membership workflows, booking journeys, payment flows, trainer scheduling, user dashboards and mobile navigation patterns.
UI Design: The final interfaces focused on:
Clear visual hierarchy
Responsive behavior
Reusable components
Cross-platform consistency
Accessibility and usability
This project connected operational workflows with customer-facing experiences through a unified system.

This project strengthened my experience in designing multi-sided platforms that serve both business and consumer users.
Working across web and mobile platforms reinforced the importance of workflow design, responsive experiences, and balancing operational efficiency with user experience.
